Was Churchill Jewish?

Joseph "Djugashvili" meaning "Son of a Jew" or Jewison changed his name to Joseph Stalin. Stalin had three wives, all of them Jewesses.

Franklin "Rosenfelt" became Roosevelt. He had Jewish ancestry.

Hitler's father, Alois, was registered as an illegitimate child with no father. Alois' mother worked in the home of a wealthy Jew.

‘Cunning, no doubt, came to Churchill in the Jewish genes transmitted by his mother Lady Randolph Churchill, née Jenny Jacobson/Jerome.’ Moshe Kohn, Jerusalem Post

~

Leonard Jerome was the Jewish owner of the New York Times. He was a close friend of August Belmont, Sr American representative of the Rothschild family's banking. He changed his name from Jacobson to Jerome. His daughter was Jenny Jacobson/Jerome, the mother of Winston Churchill.

Jenny Jacobson, 1854 - 1921, met Lord Randolph at Cowes. They were married in 1874 at the British embassy in Paris. The Duke and Duchess of Marlborough 'were conspicuously absent'.

What did Winston Churchill think of Zionism?

Winston wrote an article entitled 'Zionism versus Bolshevism' which appeared in the Illustrated Sunday Herald of February 8, 1920. Churchill wrote:

‘This movement among the Jews is not new. From the days of Spartacus-Weishaupt to those of Karl Marx, and down to Trotsky (Russia), Bela Kun (Hungary), Rosa Luxembourg (Germany), and Emma Goldman (United States), this world-wide conspiracy for the overthrow of civilisation and for the reconstitution of society on the basis of arrested development, of envious malevolence, and impossible equality, has been steadily growing. It played, as a modern writer, Mrs. Webster, has so ably shown, a definitely recognisable part in the tragedy of the French Revolution.

'It has been the mainspring of every subversive movement during the Nineteenth Century; and now at last this band of extraordinary personalities from the underworld of the great cities of Europe and America have gripped the Russian people by the hair of their beards and have become practically the undisputed masters of that enormous empire.’

Churchill found 'Jewish money' useful.

By 1938 Churchill was in financial difficulty.

‘At this hour of crisis a dark and mysterious figure entered Churchill's life: he was Henry Strakosch, a multi-millionaire Jew who had acquired a fortune speculating in South African mining ventures after his family had migrated to that country from eastern Austria. Strakosch stepped forward, advanced the ageing demagogue a "loan" of £150,000 just in time to save his estate from the auctioneer, and then quietly slipped into the background again.

'In the years that followed, Strakosch served as Churchill's adviser and confidant but miraculously managed to avoid the spotlight of publicity which thenceforth illuminated Churchill's again-rising political career.’

Who was Winston's father?

Winston's mother, Jenny Jacobson 'was a notorious adulteress'. Jenny Churchill's promiscuity was commented upon by historian William Manchester in Volume 1 of his incomplete Churchill trilogy, The Last Lion.

Winston's putative father, Lord Randolph Churchill, 'treated Winston with distance and disdain'.

‘It seems not to have occurred to anyone that Winston may have been a literal as well as figurative bastard.’ Maguire, FAEM (www.faem.com), 9 February 2002

Tesco

http://www.actionaid.org.uk/1580/press_release.html

UK supermarket firm Tesco is making record profits.

ActionAid has investigated the conditions of women working on Tesco-accredited farms in the Western Cape of South Africa.

The research revealed that the women:

1. Receive poverty wages

"I get 378 Rand [£32.50] pay every two weeks. I can’t afford school fees for my daughter or go to school functions or buy school uniforms," says Tawana Fraser, who works as a ‘permanent casual’ labourer on a pear farm that supplies Tesco. The minimum wage in South Africa for two weeks work should be 419 Rand [£36], however, poverty wages are widespread.

2. Are exposed to pesticides

"They spray pesticides while the women are working in the orchards. We have no gloves or protective clothing and we have to climb wet ladders and pick pears from the trees while they’re still wet from pesticides," says Tawana Fraser. She says that spraying normally happens twice a week and that nobody on the farm wears protective clothing.

3. Live in dismal housing

"I sleep on the floor on a plastic sheet…there’s no water or electricity and the walls of my shack are made of cardboard," says Gloria Nzama, who finds work intermittently on Tesco-accredited farms. The trend towards more casual employment, in part a result of supermarket buying practices, is seeing thousands of casual workers living in dismal housing conditions in compounds, shanty towns and informal settlements.

"7/7 Bombers" movements Physically Impossible

By: FinancialOutrage on: 26.08.2005

CONCLUSION OF EXTENSIVE RESEARCH:

On 7/7 it was physically impossible for the 'supposed' London bombers to be filmed at 7.22 am at Luton Station and also catch a train which arrived at Kings Cross prior to being filmed at 8 .26 am

The London Police claim the bombers were photographed at the Luton station, then rode the 7:40 train to King's Cross, where they were photographed again. But according to the actual train timetable, the 7:40 train was cancelled that day and even had it not been cancelled, would not have arrived in time for the men to be photographed at King's Cross at 8:26.

Trains - Luton To Kings Cross

Between 7.00 am - 8.00 am Thursday, 7th July, 2005

7.04 7.40
7.08 8.26
7.16 8.18
7.20 8.18
7.24 8.20
7.38 8.40

7.58 8.43

Thameslink supplied 'Actual Train Times' as opposed to Original Timetable

Further Details Regarding the Time it Takes to Walk to the Platform and why the 7.24 AM Train was NOT an Option

If you go to Luton station you will clearly see that it takes 3 minutes 35 seconds to get to the platform, without even buying a ticket, never mind four individuals each buying four individual tickets, and carrying large rucksacks.

You have to go through the ground floor entrance, up a long flight of stairs, turn left along a long passageway to the ticket office, then you have to go half way downstairs, view the 6 screens to see which platform you are going from, and along another corridor and then down the stairs to find the platform.

The police's official press releases and statements said that they got on the 7.40 AM train and arrived at around 8.20 AM - that is the official MANTRA - it's quoted everywhere. Nowhere did they ever say that they got on a train at 7.24 AM.

There are cameras all over the place, particularly noticeable at the upstairs ticket office and upstairs entrance to the actual station. If they were actually there they would be filmed buying their tickets, they would be filmed on the platform, they would be filmed on the train etc.

Sir Ian BLIAR and his colleagues at the police have just looked at the timetable some eight days later to fix their story to set up the four innocent 'patsies', arrogantly knowing that the compliant UK media would not question them, never thinking that all the trains from Luton to Kings Cross were messed up that day prior to the 'Bombings'.

It is ABSOLUTELY PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE to do all this in TWO minutes.

Letter to ALL UK Mainstream National Media sent First Class Post on 24-Aug-05

Official Police Statement that Bombers boarded the 7.40 Train

Thameslink - The 7.40 AM train was CANCELLED

Official Police Statement that Bombers were photographed at Kings Cross at 8.26 AM

NOTES:

A. All witness information supplied was cross checked with information supplied by Thameslink.

B. A joint trial took 3 Minutes 35 Seconds to walk from the ground floor entrance, up and over to the ticket office, and back down to the London Platforms 1 & 3, without even including any time to purchase a ticket.

A query has been raised by a web site in Australia and a web site in the US, regarding the 7.24 AM train. It is more fully answered here:
It is ABSOLUTELY PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE to do all this in TWO minutes

C. The most senior Thameslink spokesperson at Luton is called Chris Hudson. He will not answer our E Mails. chris.hudson@thameslink.co.uk

D. It is now clear why the 7/7 commuter interviewed by D Starbuck did not mention the 7.30 AM train that left at 7.38 AM. The London trains normally go from platforms 1 & 3. To a regular traveller, the train at platform 4 would have appeared to be about to set off in the opposite direction - See Sources Of Information No. 3.

Sir Cliff Richards

http://news.scotsman.com/index.cfm?id=1827562005

Tony Blair and family have been staying at the home of Sir Cliff Richards in Barbados.

~~

Cliff Richard had sold more singles in the UK than any other music artist.

Cliff is the only act in the UK to score a NUMBER ONE single in each and every decade since the setting up of the UK Singles chart in 1952.

Cliff became rich and famous because of:

1. His 'cute young boy' looks.
2. His wiggly hips.
3. 'Catchy' pop tunes.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/talking_point/541585.stm

Comments from members of the public about Sir Cliff:

"For years people have speculated about Cliff's faith being a sort of a self-inflicted punishment for being a latent gay or 'outing' his Christian beliefs as a sort of marketing gimmick to help him boost record sales. How could anyone want to come up with such a load of rubbish! Cliff has a very open personality and has made no secret of his beliefs."

"Perhaps if Cliff said he was gay and was campaigning for HIV or stood and shouted loudest about his charity work instead of keeping quiet he would get the respect due to him."

"I think it isn't worth replying to the remark that Cliff should say he is gay... His sexuality shouldn't even come into the music debate."

British 13-year-olds selling drugs for the CIA?

http://www.theherald.co.uk/news/45440.shtml

In the United Kingdom, The Herald newspaper revealed, on 22 August 2005:

1. the number of under-16s charged with the supply or possession of drugs has gone up by 13% since 2002.

2. 13-year-olds have been found dealing in heroin.

~

http://www.geocities.com/northstarzone/DRUG.html

According to Northstarzone, the CIA deals in heroin.

Northstarzone's information on CIA drug smuggling operations comes from 'CIA and ONI (Office of Naval Intelligence) operatives: Trenton Parker, Gunther Russbacher, Michael Maholy, Robert Hunt.

'There is extensive documentation confirming the intelligence status of each of these men. This documentation was taken from Rodney Stich's seminal work, Defrauding America.'

According to Northstarzone, profits from the CIA's cocaine, heroin, and marijuana smuggling activities have been estimated at between $10 and $15 billion per year.

Northstarzone lists the CIA operations that involve trading in drugs. These include:

Operation Snow Cone - 'Parent Central American drug smuggling operation'.

Operation Toilet Seat - 'The CIA uses Boeing 727 and C-130 aircraft to haul drugs from Central and South America'.

Operation Indigo Sky - 'Massive CIA heroin smuggling operation based in Lagos, Nigeria'.

Operation New Wave - 'CIA heroin smuggling operation based in Thailand'.

Much of Britain's heroin comes from Afghanistan:

"The ISI, CIA, and Afghan drug traffic have been a single story since the CIA, in May 1979, first met with the ISI protege, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar; and proceeded to fund him, even as his guerrilla operation evolved into a professional drug network with its own heroin labs (McCoy, Politics of Heroin, 451)." http://ist-socrates.berkeley.edu/~pdscott/qdimu.html

The CIA's reported involvement in the drug trade has been documented by academics such as Dr. Peter Dale Scott.

One boss of a drug ring has admitted in federal court testimony that he and other exiles began selling drugs in the USA in 1982 to help finance the CIA's Contras. http://www.finalcall.com/features/cia-dope.html

Remember the Lockerbie Bomb?

An internal investigation by Pan Am is believed to have found that the bomb planted on Flight 103 was NOT put on the plane in Malta.The Pan Am report is believed to have concluded that the bomb was not aimed at the killing of Americans in general, but was targeted specifically to kill a small band of DIA operatives that had uncovered a drugs ring run by a CIA unit in Lebanon.The drugs-ring is said to have been set up by Israeli Mossad agents. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/777974.stm

Pan Am Flight 103 hit Lockerbie on 21 December 1988. On that flight "were at least 2 US Intelligence agents and a Mr Khalid Nazir Jafaar." The Dumfries and Galloway police began to investigate.But for two days it was "difficult" for them to collect evidence as "CIA agents combed the countryside for the luggage of the dead American intelligence agents and a suitcase full of heroin.... 59 bodies were left lying around Lockerbie until 24 December... but by then there were only 58 bodies..." according to former DIA agent Lester Coleman

Arabian Nights, Ravel and beautiful young boys.

ThreeYouths.htm

The Tale of Abu Nuwas and the Three Youths.

Retold after the translation of Richard F. Burton

"One day Abu Nuwas ... came upon three young men, handsome and beardless as if they were of the boys of Paradise, all different from one another but alike in their beauty.

"Now Abu Nuwas... loved to make merry with fair boys...

"He kissed the first, and exclaimed, 'Praise to Him who hairless made this cheek!'

"Then he kissed the second one twice over and said, 'This lovely wears on his cheek a mole that’s perfect, Oh, bless the Prophet!'

"Then he pulled the third one to him, and after kissing him half a dozen times he exclaimed, 'Melted gold in silver cups you’ve poured me, and stained your fingers with the wine, you slender fawn with baggy pants, but merely gazing at you would have made me just as drunk .'

http://books.guardian.co.uk/review/story/0,12084,1551879,00.html

Tim Ashley, in the Guardian, 20 August 2005, wrote about The Arabian Nights and Ravel's version of Shéhérazade.

The text of Shéhérazade is by a friend of Ravel, the poet Léon Leclère, also known as Tristan Klingsor.

Klingsor produced his Shéhérazade poems in 1903. Many of his poems are addressed to a "jeune étranger" and contain phrases such as:"My shaved slave will massage your powerful rear ('ta puissante derrière') and references to soapy hands.

Ravel chose three of Klingsor's poems and he chose a mezzo-soprano for Shéhérazade.

Tim Ashley writes: "In the final section, Ravel introduces Klingsor's 'jeune étranger' for the only time, watching him refuse a woman's offer of a glass of wine before passing on his way with his 'languid and feminine gait'.

"Ravel quotes his own String Quartet during the song; critics have always wondered whether this is the closest Ravel ever got to coming out of the closet, but we will never know for certain. Ravel's sexuality, remains, like his evocation of Asia, a secret world glimpsed from a distance."

Alan Riding, in the New York Times, 3 December 2000, reviewed Benjamin Ivry's 'Maurice Ravel: A Life'.

Riding writes:

"Many of Ravel's friends suspected that he was gay... We are told that the unmarried Ravel ... had a fixation with Pan, that he wrote music for songs about beautiful young boys, that he composed ballets for male dancers, that his social circle included renowned gays and lesbians...

"Ravel's ''Indifférent,'' Ivry continues, ''is a wistful love lyric to a beautiful youth in the pederastic tradition of medieval Arab poetry.''

Daniel Dunglas Home

http://www.survivalafterdeath.org/mediums/home.htm
http://www.spartechsoftware.com/dimensions/mystical/DanielHome.htm

Sources include: An Encyclopaedia of Psychic Science by Nandor Fodor (1934).

Daniel Dunglas Home was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on March 20, 1833.

Home was descended, on his mother's side, from a Scottish Highland family with the gift of second sight. Home claimed that his father was a natural son of the tenth Earl of Home. While still a child, Daniel Dunglas Home moved to America.

Home's school friend Edwin died. Home, aged 13, saw a vision of the dead Edwin.

Four years later, Home saw a vision which told him of the death of his mother.

By the age of 17, his household was experiencing a range of poltergeist type events, including knocking sounds and furniture moving.

Home astounded people by demonstrating his ability to give them accurate details on their life, some of which the person themselves had completely forgotten.

Lord Linksay recorded this event:

I was sitting on December 16, 1868, Lord Adare's rooms in Asley Place, London, S.W., with Mr. Home and Lord Adare and cousin of his. During the sitting, Mr. Home went into a trance, and in that state was carried out of the window in the room next to where we were, and was brought in at our window. The distance between the windows was about seven feet six inches, and there was not the slightest foothold between them, nor was there more than a 12 in projection to each window, which served as a ledge to put flowers on. We heard the window in the next room lifted up, and almost immediately after we saw Home floating in the air outside our window.

Home's mediumship was investigated by Sir William Crookes who decided that Home's phenomena were genuine.

Sir William Crookes summed up his opinion as follows:

"During the whole of my knowledge of D. D. Home, extending for several years, I never once saw the slightest occurrence that would make me suspicious that he was attempting to play tricks. He was scrupulously sensitive on this point, and never felt hurt at anyone taking precautions against deception. To those who knew him Home was one of the most lovable of men and his perfect genuineness and uprightness were beyond suspicion."

Frank Podmore, a most sceptical psychical researcher, says of Home in his Modern Spiritualism:
"A remarkable testimony to Home's ability whether as medium or simply as conjurer, is the position which he succeeded in maintaining in society at this time (1861) and indeed throughout his later life, and the respectful treatment accorded to him by many leading organs of the Press. No money was ever taken by him as the price of a sitting; and he seemed to have had the entree to some of the most aristocratic circles in Europe...

"Home was never publicly exposed as an impostor and there is no evidence of any weight that he was even privately detected in trickery."

Natural Law Party

http://www.natural-law-party.org.uk/pressreleases/UK-20000529-nlp-fact-sheet.htm

From the site of the Natural Law Party:

"A study of crime rate in Merseyside found a 60% reduction in crime relative to UK national trends when a Maharishi Effect group was set up nearby in Skelmersdale. Merseyside crime reduced from the third highest to the lowest among metropolitan areas in England and Wales. A follow-up study found greatly improved quality of life & economic vitality in Merseyside during subsequent years."

http://www.natural-law-party.org.uk/UKmanifesto/

A study published in 1996 in a leading British crime journal, Psychology, Crime and Law (1996, vol 2:3, pages 165-174), has given a firm confirmation of just how effective a group of experts in Yogic Flying is in reducing crime and negativity.

This study shows that in 1988 the crime rate in Merseyside was significantly reduced compared to 1987 and previous years, as a result of a group of people in nearby Skelmersdale and others in Liverpool engaged in the daily practice of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi programme, including Yogic Flying.

In each of the subsequent years between 1989 to 1993, Merseyside crime trends were significantly better than the national crime rate.

In 1987 Merseyside had the third highest crime rate of all 11 metropolitan areas in England and Wales; in 1993, by the end of the study, it had the lowest crime rate of all the metropolitan areas.

Overall, during the six-year period of the study, crime in Merseyside fell by 15% while crime in the rest of the country rose by 45%.

This represents a 60% relative drop in crime.

This study was the first of its kind to be conducted on crime trends in Great Britain. The powerful statistical technique of time series analysis, which was used in the study, clearly showed that the dramatic relative reduction in crime rate was not due to other factors, including unemployment, policing methods, population trends, or other strategies such as drug rehabilitation initiatives.

The research established that the group of experts in Yogic Flying was the key factor in reducing crime...

...

We in the United Kingdom should be aware that the so-called "Security Council" is a place of competition to create and sell arms that wreak destruction around the world. Throughout the world it is common knowledge that these leading nations, who are also the main arms manufacturers, fuel many conflicts by supplying arms to both sides. The United Nations is a convenient vehicle for these nations to hide behind world opinion.

Britain and 9 11 : Sir David Manning was in Washington on 9 11

John Scarlett took over as chairman of the UK's Joint Intelligence Committee a few days before 9 11.

On 31 July the Times disclosed that Sir David Manning was in the United States on Sept 11.

The Guardian described Manning as Britain's 'national security adviser' ".

The BBC said that Manning was "head of the cabinet office defence and overseas secretariat" and was already "well known and respected in the White House".

(Manning, like Jack Straw, is believed to be of Jewish origin - Nona)

Manning met with Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage on September 10th.

Armitage allegedly has been involved in covert operations with the CIA, 'including illegal arms and drug running on behalf of the US government'.

A report by the US National Bureau of Asian Research cites an article in the Washington Times 28 July 1997 which lists Armitage, along with Dick Cheney, as having business or consulting interests in the Caspian zone.

General Mahmoud, the head of Pakistan's intelligence services, the ISI, 'happened' (according to the BBC) to be in Washington at the same time as Sir David Manning.

The head of the ISI is a Pakistani appointment which, by treaty, requires the approval of the CIA. In effect the post is a CIA appointment.

According to the Times of India 9 October, Mahmoud had ordered Ahmad Omar Sheikh to send $100,000 to Mohammad Atta, sometime prior to 9 11.

Mahmoud was meeting with the CIA and senior members of the Bush administration immediately before, during and after the 9 11 attacks.

As the Times of India put it: "A direct link between the ISI and the WTC attacks could have enormous repercussions."

The Mail on Sunday 14 October 2001 confirms that: "Condoleeza Rice, a key member of the Bush war cabinet, is in regular contact with Sir David Manning, Blair's National Security Adviser.... It is Manning, Campbell and Blair's chief of staff, Jonathan Powell, who are seen as the Prime Minister's real war cabinet."

According to the Guardian:

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi has ordered his followers to stop teaching his advanced meditation and levitation techniques in Britain. Disgusted at Tony Blair's support for the US in the Iraq war and the British electorate's failure to unseat the prime minister at the general election, the 95-year-old guru says there is no point continuing to waste the "beautiful nectar" of TM on a "scorpion" nation."

"The good effects of transcendental meditation - increased creativity and long life - should not be given to a dangerous country that is constantly busy destroying the world," said the maharishi, speaking at one his regular press conferences in the Netherlands.

In the 1992 British general election his Natural Law party fielded 300 candidates in an attempt to win support for his "age of enlightenment"...

The two best-known British advocates of TM are the former Tory party leader William Hague and the industrialist and broadcaster Sir John Harvey-Jones...

Followers of the maharishi believe that by collective meditation they can cause fundamental changes in the "physical field" which radiate throughout society.

The phenomenon, known as the "maharishi effect" can be triggered by just 1% of a population of more than 10,000 meditating, or the square root of 1% in the case of advanced TMers in larger populations.

Child abuse cover-up

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2090-1734657,00.html

In the Sunday Times, 14 August 2005, Mark Macaskill wrote about an alleged child abuse report cover-up.

In Scotland, government ministers have been accused of suppressing a report into the collapse of one of Scotland’s biggest child abuse investigations.

The report concludes that the girls at the centre of the inquiry in the Western Isles were subjected to years of physical and sexual abuse.

The report is highly critical of the way the inquiry was conducted.

The report, which was to have been published on 11 August 2005, was withdrawn at the last moment. Reportedly there were fears that the report could lead to legal action being taken against the Scottish executive.

Dozens of copies of the report by the Social Work Inspection Agency (SWIA) were recalled from libraries across Britain.

Seven men and one woman were arrested in 2003 in raids on the Isle of Lewis and in Dorset, Leicestershire and West Yorkshire. There were claims concerning a satanic child abuse ring.

All charges were dropped without explanation by the Crown Office in 2004.

The SWIA report raises questions about why the girls’ abusers have not been brought to justice.

~~

In 1991 there was an Orkney child abuse scandal, when nine children were placed in care following allegations of ritual abuse by their parents and a minister. The police investigation collapsed.

~~

http://66.102.9.104/search?q=cache:oXkdvevbuUAJ:users.cybercity.dk/~ccc44406/smwane/Hale%26sinason.html+dr+john+hale+child+abuse&hl=en

According to an article in The Independent on Sunday, 30 April 2000, 'a specially commissioned government report' concluded that satanic abuse does take place in Britain.

The report stated that victims have suffered actual abuse and are not suffering from false memory syndrome.

The report, 'ordered by the Department of Health', examined the experiences of 50 "survivors".

The report was compiled by Dr John Hale, director of the Portman Clinic in London, and psychotherapist Valerie Sinason.

Over the years, there have been reports of ritual abuse of children in such places as Nottingham, Rochdale and Orkney.

In the year 2000, the police were investigating the alleged sexual and physical abuse of up to 4,000 children in care homes and council-run homes in Devon.

Ms Sinason, who has treated 126 ritual abuse survivors, said yesterday that in many cases children were tortured by being held under water or made to believe they had witnessed the murder of infants as part of the satanic ritual.

"Some children are born for the purpose of abuse and are not registered on birth certificates," she added. "The abusers use trickery to convince children they have taken part in murder. This increases the power of the abuser."

The report pointed to the difficulty of bringing prosecutions because of the problems of putting abused children into the witness box.

There are currently at least five cases involving ritual abuse in the hands of lawyers.

The report was welcomed by Dr Joan Coleman, a Surrey psychiatrist who has spent 14 years treating victims. "A lot of children are born into satanic families who indulge in this ritual abuse," she said. "It's only now that child sexual abuse is being exposed that people are beginning to believe ritual abuse exists."

http://www.geocities.com/northstarzone/HOOVER.html

In 1993, Anthony Summers, in his book Official and Confidential: The Secret Life of J. Edgar Hoover, claimed that Hoover did not pursue the Mafia because they had blackmail material on him.

Summers quotes Susan L. Rosenstiel as saying that in 1958, she was at a party at the Plaza Hotel where Hoover engaged in cross-dressing.

According to Rosentiel: "He [Hoover] was wearing a fluffy black dress, very fluffy, with flounces and lace stockings and high heels, and a black curly wig. He had makeup on and false eyelashes."

Rosentiel said she saw Hoover go into a bedroom and take off his skirt. There, "young blond boys" worked on him in bed.

http://www.spitfirelist.com/f318.html

Jim Hougan in the book 'Secret Agenda', reports:

"According to fugitive ex-CIA officer Frank Terpil, CIA-directed sexual blackmailing operations were intensive in Washington at about the time of the Watergate scandal.

"One of those operations, Terpil claims, was run by his former partner, Ed Wilson. Wilson’s base of operations for arranging trysts for the politically powerful was, Terpil says, Korean agent Ton Sun Park’s George Town Club.

"In a letter to the author, Terpil explained that ‘Historically, one of Wilson’s Agency jobs was to subvert members of both houses [of Congress] by any means necessary. . . .Certain people could be easily coerced by living out their sexual fantasies in the flesh. . . .A remembrance of these occasions [was] permanently recorded via selected cameras. . . .The technicians in charge of filming. . .[were] TSD [Technical Services Division of the CIA] The unwitting porno stars advanced in their political careers, some of [whom] may still be in office.’”

Prince Otto von Bismarck had a spy called Stieber. In Berlin, Stieber operated a "Green House," where "people of consequence" indulged in vice of every kind. The files from the Green House were used to blackmail people into handing over top-secret information.

According to conspiracy planet:

"The Dutroux arrest unraveled an international pedophile ring involving Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, the U.S., Great Britain, Japan and the United Nations and its agencies.

"The names found on the computer disks reached into the highest levels of politics and society in the various countries and institutions, including some of the very members of the Belgian government who had originally been implicated in the assassination of Andre Cools.

"A leading figure... in the... Dutroux pedophilia operation was Jean Michel Nihoul... He managed a string of Dutroux's properties which functioned as pedophilia clubs in various countries, including a sumptuous and secluded villa in the Caribbean at which leading U.S. political figures, governors and members of Congress could satisfy their pedophile perversions safe from media sleuths...

"He was also a leading power in Belgian right-wing political circles, a close friend of U.S. General John Singlaub and Rev. Moon of the World Anti-Communist League as well as to men in the upper echelons of the Sasakawa Foundation...

"The Dutroux-Nihoul case also sparked a revival of interest in a parallel case unearthed in the United States, as part of the late 1980s Congressional and special prosecutors probes of the Contra Supply operations.

"The American case involved CIA- Col. Oliver North initiated drugs-for money-for weapons operation, and also the Franklin Credit Bank of Omaha, Nebraska,run by Larry King, a powerful African-American Republican Party operator, whose savings and loan institution was used to launder funds for Oliver North's Contras.

"When former Nebraska state senator John De Camp undertook a probe of King's activities , he uncovered a nationwide pedophile ring, servicing some of the wealthiest and most powerful figures in the Omaha business and political elites in the Republican Party circles of George Herbert Walker Bush..."

KINCORA

"Who Framed Colin Wallace", by famous UK journalist Paul Foot, tells the story of a former Ministry of Defence Information officer, Colin Wallace.

The book deals with the child abuse which took place at Kincora Boys Home, Belfast, allegedly with the involvement of people within the Ulster establishment as well as the security services.

Apparently "the authorities allowed the situation at Kincora to continue for at least six years after it had been brought to their attention, because of the blackmail and other dirty tricks opportunities it provided the intelligence services."

Kincora "was run by three pederastic homosexuals - Joseph Mains, Raymond Semple and William McGrath".

Foot alleges that Wallace tried to alert the authorities regarding what was going on at Kincora years before it finally came to light. He alleges that McGrath was working for MI5 and that the Security Service ignored the plight of the boys at Kincora to protect their investment.

Fundamentalists

~~

http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,,1546558,00.html

Karen Armstrong, in the Guardian 11 August 2005, wrote about fundamentalism.

She explains:

1. the early Christians were not fundamentalists.

2. it was not until the late 19th century that some Christians began to think that the Bible was literally true in every detail.

3. Before the modern period, Jews, Christians and Muslims saw scriptures as being like poetry, full of parables to be interpreted.

"The word of God was infinite and could not be tied down to a single interpretation."

4. All the verses of the Qur'an are called "parables" (ayat);

its images of paradise, hell and the last judgment are also ayat, pointing to things that we can only glimpse through signs and symbols.

Armstrong writes: 'People do not robotically obey every single edict of their sacred texts. If they did, the world would be full of Christians who love their enemies and turn the other cheek when attacked.'

With the Qur'an, 'one teaching is always qualified and supplemented by other texts, and cannot be seen in isolation.'

When the Qur'an is recited, the words that people hear again and again are not "holy war", but "kindness", "courtesy", "peace", "justice", and "compassion".

Armstrong points out that Christian fundamentalists concentrate on the aggressive Book of Revelation and pay no attention to the Sermon on the Mount, while Muslim extremists rely on the more belligerent passages of the Qur'an and overlook its oft-repeated instructions to leave vengeance to God and make peace with the enemy.

The Qur'an insists that its teaching must be understood "in full" (20:114).

Armstrong writes: 'Muslim extremists have given the jihad (which they interpret reductively as "holy war") a centrality that it never had before and have thus redefined the meaning of Islam for many non-Muslims. But in this they are often unwittingly aided by the media, who also concentrate obsessively on the more aggressive verses of the Qur'an, without fully appreciating how these are qualified by the text as a whole. We must all - the religious and the sceptics alike - become aware that there is more to scripture than meets the cursory eye.'

Thugs in suits

http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,3604,1547587,00.html

Howard Zinn is professor emeritus of political science at Boston University.

He has written an article for Le Monde diplomatique (August 2005) and the Guardian (12 August 2005)

Zinn writes:

"It is not only Iraq that is occupied. America is too.

"My country is in the grip of a president surrounded by thugs in suits."

Zinn writes of occupied Iraq:

"We have all read reports of US soldiers angry at being kept in Iraq. Such sentiments are becoming known to the US public, as are the feelings of many deserters who are refusing to return to Iraq after home leave."

Zinn writes of occupied America:

"I wake up in the morning, read the newspaper, and feel that we are an occupied country, that some alien group has taken over. I wake up thinking: the US is in the grip of a president surrounded by thugs in suits who care nothing about human life abroad or here...

"More Americans are beginning to feel, like the soldiers in Iraq, that something is terribly wrong. More and more every day the lies are being exposed. And then there is the largest lie, that everything the US does is to be pardoned because we are engaged in a 'war on terrorism', ignoring the fact that war is itself terrorism, that barging into homes and taking away people and subjecting them to torture is terrorism, that invading and bombing other countries does not give us more security but less...

"The 'war on terrorism' is not only a war on innocent people in other countries; it is a war on the people of the US: on our liberties, on our standard of living.

"The country's wealth is being stolen from the people and handed over to the super-rich. The lives of the young are being stolen...

"Our faith is that human beings only support violence and terror when they have been lied to. And when they learn the truth, as happened in the course of the Vietnam war, they will turn against the government. We have the support of the rest of the world. The US cannot indefinitely ignore the 10 million people who protested around the world on February 15 2003.
There is no act too small, no act too bold. The history of social change is the history of millions of actions, small and large, coming together at points in history and creating a power that governments cannot suppress."

Lytton Strachey

.

The Letters of Lytton Strachey, edited by Paul Levy, tell us about Strachey's sex life.

Lytton Strachey (1880-1932) was a famous British writer. He wrote ‘Eminent Victorians’.

What do the letters tell us?

Strachey has a story about a school tart on a train heading for Eton school. The boy entered the toilet. The boy was visited by all the boys in the carriage before they all got out at Eton.

Strachey's last affair was with a young chap who eventually became a top person at Secker & Warburg. "You were a perfect angel last night," wrote Strachey.

Strachey was at cambridge University with John Maynard Keynes. Strachey and Keynes both took an interest in young males. Strachey wrote: "Can you imagine the torture of… knowing for a fact that someone for whom one would be disembowelled is prostituted to Keynes?"

Strachey describes one boy: "eyelashes a foot long and a dream of a face."

Strachey liked boys. In his forties Strachey wrote suggestive letters to Dorelia John about her pre-teen stepsons.

In 1928, Strachey met Norman Douglas in Paris. Strachey wrote of Douglas: "One would like to surround him with every kind of comfort and adulation and innumerable boys of 14½."

~~

Take the train from Naples to Barletta. This seaside town has a fascinatingly scruffy atmosphere and is worth a quick visit. The public beach is the filthiest I've ever seen but there are private areas which are cleaner.

Next on the coastal train line south eastward comes Trani, with its attractive Duomo, its nervous people (organised crime?) and the world's best pasta.

A short hop takes you on to Bisceglie which is a restful little spot.

Next day stop at Molfetta a 'non-touristy' little port where the main hotel has excellent service.

Bari is a typical Southern city, the sort of place where you may see someone being kidnapped. Hide your money belt.

From Bari continue on to unremarkable Brindisi and then head West to the exciting large port of Taranto. Now if you like heavy industry and harbours and 'people watching' this is the place.

Also worth a journey are places like Foggia to the North, with its wonderful baroque architecture, and the quaint port of Otranto to the South.

What on earth is the attraction of Puglia?

1.Unlike Venice, real people live here.

2.Unlike Rome there are relatively few tourists

3. It has a rough, uninhibited charm that is the opposite of chic Capri.

4. You can have an adventure in a mysterious land once inhabited by Greeks, Spaniards and Saracens. (Today you may meet the Albanian mafia)

5. The pasta is generally excellent.

~~

http://myweb.lsbu.ac.uk/~stafflag/normandouglas.html

Norman Douglas was a fan of Puglia.

In 1897 Douglas had a sexual relationship with Michelle, the 15 year-old brother of his then mistress.

In 1898 Douglas married his cousin, Elsa Fitzgibbon. He divorced in 1903.

In 1916, in Britain, Douglas was charged with the sexual assault of a 16-year boy. Douglas escaped to Italy.

Douglas's book Siren Land, 1911, was an account of his travels in southern Italy.

In his travel book Together, 1923, Douglas had a companion "Mr R."

Mr R. was a 15-year-old Italian boy called René.

Norman Douglas conceals his homosexual tastes in his books. Readers can read between the lines.

Douglas's book Paneros, 1930, 1931, describes 'the art of getting sex' but 'fails to state the sex of the object of pursuit.'

~~~
'Lunch With Elizabeth David' is abook by Roger Williams. It deals with Norman Douglas.
Julie Gray, in the New York Times 13 August 2000, reviewed the book.
http://www.nytimes.com/books/00/08/13/bib/000813.rv094819.html
Gray writes:
'Much of this absorbing novel is told from the point of view of one of Douglas's many ''nephews,'' Eric Wolton, a boy who is only 12 years old when Douglas plucks him from a dreary working-class life to be his companion as he journeys through Calabria.
'The question at the novel's center concerns Douglas: Is he, as one character puts it, ''a monster, the pedophile of the century,'' or is he, as Eric says, a great man who had led him into a ''warm and sensuous world of adventures and light''?'
Saadi (Sheikh Musharrif ad-Din Saadi,1184 - 1291) is Persia's greatest poet.
Some verse from Saadi's Bûstân:
When awake, there's mischief in his cheek and beauty-spot -
And sleeping, you are fettered to the image of him.
line 1685
A certain lad some days ago my heart did steal away,
And my affection for him is such that I no longer can endure;
Yet he's not once enquired of me with pleasant disposition:
See, then, what I must make my soul to suffer for his disdainful ways?
lines 1953-54
Though you may kiss his feet, he'll give you no regard:
Though you be dust before him, no gratitude he'll show you.
Empty your head of brains, of coins your hands
If you would set your mind on other people's children
The Dancing Boys in the Moslem Ottoman Empire.
"Competing—successfully—with the women of the harem for the affection of the Ottoman noble were young males in various functions, chief among whom were the entertainers, known as köçeks.
"They traveled in troupes and were skilled in music, dancing, and erotic pleasures. The average troupe—named after its leader—would have about thirty dancers, though some had several hundred. When not on stage, köçeks would work in coffee-houses and taverns, where they would serve drinks, flirt, and be available for trysts with the clientele.
"They were highly sought by all nobles of all ranks, including the Sultan. Köçeks wore elegant and gaudy costumes, had long curly hair, and were immortalized in books discussing their qualities and ranking them by nationality, such as the Huban-nameh of Enderunlu Fazil."
~~
Fifteenth century Cairo had a trade in young slaves of both sexes. The historian Max Rodenbeck notes that while a serving maid might fetch ten dinars, a handsome male might sell for 30,000.
The Malmuk rulers favoured Tartar, Circassian and Greek youths.
The wealthier women of Cairo were so concerned by this fashion among their husbands for youths and young men, that they took to dressing up in men's attire.
Al-Marqrizi explained that "because the love of men spread among the nobles so that their women tried to make themselves look like boys in the hope of capturing the hearts of their menfolk."
Reportedly, the homosexuality of Saladin, Sultan of Egypt and Syria, was revealed in several episodes of the Arabian Nights.
http://www.gayegypt.com/salgayegherw.html
Saladin (1138-93) was the Egyptian ruler who united the Arab World against the Crusades and recaptured Jerusalem in 1187.
Richard The Lion Heart, had a secret passion for Saladin. Richard also shared a bed with Philip II of France. According to Gerald, the Archdeacon of Wales, they were inseparable lovers recalling that the English king "so honored Philip that by day they ate at one table, off one dish, and at night they slept in one bed. And the king of France loved him as his own soul."
Saladin's brother Al Adel was reported to be very close to Richard.
Saladin himself probably had a relationship with the Turkish eunuch Karakush, a slave.
Karakush was promoted and was responsible for overseeing the construction of Cairo's citadel. Then Saladin appointed him joint emir (with a Kurd called Mashtub) of Acre on the coast of Palestine and in charge of the city's defense against the Crusaders.
~~
Saladin was reportedly a Kurd.
The story of Suleiman's attachment to his vizier Ibrahim (allegedly his lover) is as follows:
"Suleyman, great as he was, shared his greatness with a second mind, to which his reign owed much of its brilliance. The Grand Vezir Ibrahim was the counterpart of the Grand Monarch Suleyman. He was the son of a sailor at Parga, and had been captured by corsairs, by whom he was sold to be the slave of a widow at Magnesia. Here he passed into the hands of the young prince Suleyman, then Governor of Magnesia, and soon his extraordinary talents and address brought him promotion.... From being Grand Falconer on the accession of Suleyman, he rose to be first minister and almost co-Sultan in 1523.
"He was the object of the Sultan's tender regard: an emperor knows better than most men how solitary is life without friendship and love, and Suleyman loved this man more than a brother. Ibrahim was not only a friend, he was an entertaining and instructive companion. He read Persian, Greek and Italian; he knew how to open unknown worlds to the Sultan's mind, and Sulevman drank in his Vezir's wisdom with assiduity. They lived together: their meals were shared in common; even their beds were in the same room. The Sultan gave his sister in marriage to the sailor's son, and Ibrahim was at the summit of power."From: Stanley Lane-Poole, Turkey, Story of Nations series, p. 174
MOROCCO TRAVEL
PART 1 - GETTING STONED.
PART 2 - HASSAN
PART 3 - LIKE HAITI OR IRAN?
PART 4 - SEX
PART 5 - MOROCCAN BOYS
PART 6 - WHERE AND HOW TO GO
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
STONES were being thrown at me. There was blood on my hand. I was standing at the entrance gate to the Moroccan city of xxxxxxxxx. The teenagers who were throwing the stones were presumably not wildly keen on the sight of a rich western tourist who was carrying a large camera.
I reported to the police station on three occasions after being threatened or hit.
On the third occasion the police officer in charge decided to give me a hard time. He suggested that my passport might not have been properly stamped or might be out of date.
I began to get the impression that something was seriously wrong with Morocco. I came across a small malnourished, ragged child staring at some postcards outside a shop. I gave the boy a few coins. He kissed my hand gravely and thanked me many times. Not all Moroccans are louts.
In my 4 star hotel, the barman was arguing with his colleagues. A hotel employee decided to empty his nostrils of mucus as my drink was being served. The restaurant was full of flies.
The streets of Fes were full of litter and insects. There were huge piles of refuse at every road junction.
Moroccan cities also seem to have more than their fair share of the mentally backward (caused by inbreeding?) and the mentally ill (caused by poverty and powerlessness?)
Figures for March 2002 show a 35% drop in the number of package tourists arriving at Agadir airport.
I was in the main square in the Moroccan city of xxxxxxxxxx one sunny morning (May 1st 2002). There were riot police, and ordinary police and soldiers stationed in the square. There were riot police down the various side streets and sitting in cafes. There were plain clothes police and uniformed officers on all the major roads. In the square there were speeches given by the smartly dressed leaders of one of the 'left-wing' parties. These leaders were dressed like the mafia.The crowd which had gathered to listen was small and their applause was less than lukewarm.
Riots are common in Morocco.
In 1955, Berber tribesmen descended on the village of Oed Zen and killed every Frenchman they found.
On 20 June 1981, up to 600 people were killed in rioting in Casablanca (Le Figaro 1 July 1981, page 2).
In 1984, up to 200 people were killed in rioting in cities such as Tetouan (Le monde 26 Jan 1984, page 4).
A greater danger than riots is the driving in Morocco. My taxi driver drove with either one hand or no hand on the steering wheel and he loved going right up close to the vehicle in front. France has 2.6 deaths per 1000 vehicles. Morocco has 25.6 deaths per 1000 vehicles, making it the second most dangerous country in the world in terms of motoring.
While I was cycling in Morocco, I was chased by savage dogs and savage children demanding money. The children terrified me as they looked very hungry and as tough as slum kids from Liverpool.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
PART 2 - HASSAN
So what is happening in Morocco?
Morocco's former king, Hassan, was said to be worth $40 billion.
Out of the 100 richest people in Morocco, 'the top 50 are in the armed forces or police.' 'The fortune amassed by the 20 richest army officers would be enough to pay off Morocco's foreign debt of $17bn.'
I visited a shanty settlement. I am not brave; I simply wandered in by accident. This was a place of barking dogs, piles of rubbish, home made shacks with no water supply or sewage disposal, and ragged children who looked seriously malnourished. A high wall hid the shacks of the poor from any tourists on the main streets.
Almost 65% of the population l ive below the poverty line 'and the situation is deteriorating'.
According to ex-army officer Ahmed Rami, who is now in exile, the former King of Morocco, Hassan, was a puppet of the Jews and of the CIA. According to Rami, King Hassan could not take a step without the Jew André Azoulay, a Zionist "adviser". Azoulay - and people like him - allegedly made the important decisions, such as helping the rich get richer, and being sympathetic to Israel and the USA. Education, the media and the whole of social life were regulated by these advisers, not by the Moroccans themselves.
At least 25% of Morocco's population of 29 million are unemployed.
More than half the population is illiterate (70% of women) and two-thirds of people living in the country do not have access to drinking water, 87% are without electricity and 93% receive no medical care.
Morocco makes its money from the receipts sent home by Moroccans working abroad (most Moroccans want to get out of Morocco because of its corruption), from cannabis (sold in Europe), from smuggling (stolen cars and other goods), from phosphates (used in farming), from fishing (sardines), from farming (most of the best land is owned by a small rich elite, including army officers and politicians), from textiles (most Moroccan industry is still medieval and there is much competition from cheap-labour countries such as Turkey), and from tourism (Morocco gets about 2 million tourists per year while Spain hosts 45 million; Morocco has surprisingly few hotel beds).
The farms of the elite have been given much help and produce lots of oranges and vegetables intended for export to Europe; but Europe would rather buy its fruit and vegetables from the likes of Spain or Portugal. Morocco is no longer self-sufficient in wheat but has more oranges than it knows what to do with.
The farms of the poor suffer from having too many people and not enough water. The rural poor escape to the cities -Tangiers, Rabat, Casablanca and Marrakesh - where they crowd into shanty towns on the outskirts or even in the centre.
I visited a poor farming area. The children's faces looked pinched. Few of the girls went to school. The houses had no water or toilets or electricity. Transport was by donkey.
The 5 star Gazelle d'Or hotel, near Taroudant, has been visited by the likes of the Duchess of York and Michael Portillo. It refused to let me in. Rooms cost hundreds of dollars. Not far from the Gazelle d'Or I came across villages with falling down houses and ragged children.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
PART 3 - LIKE HAITI OR IRAN?
Morocco has a new king, Muhammad VI. In all the main towns and cities there are large posters showing his face. (A bit like Baby Doc's Haiti?) His concern for his fellow citizens is very different from the attitude of his father, and his nickname is "king of the poor". The king heads the Muhammad V foundation, which acts like a humanitarian NGO, and sometimes travels to outlying villages to bring tanks of water to drought victims, and support micro-development projects. "He visits the sick and takes care of the destitute. Numbers of stories are told of his goodness, compassion and generosity, and some people literally worship him."
According to Moroccan Professor Muhammad Tozy, "His attitude to ordinary people is undoubtedly sincere, but in addition it is politically astute since it cuts the ground from under the feet of the Islamists, who had until now monopolised charitable work in the poor neighbourhoods. This made them very popular. Now the king appears as a major rival in terms of religious legitimacy, since he is the descendant of the prophet Muhammad and 'commander of the faithful', but also in terms of solidarity with the deprived and excluded."
The new king has also taken an interest in the issue of freedom and human rights. Less than a month after the death of Hassan II, he spoke about the "disappeared" and the "victims of arbitrary arrest". Speaking in Casablanca he underlined the need to respect "human rights and individual freedoms". He dismissed Driss Basri, former minister of the interior and mastermind of a policy of repression that lasted almost 30 years.
Will the new king be able to prevent an Iranian-style revolution?
Islamism is spreading at a fast rate, taking advantage of the poverty and misery. The elite in the army are hardly likely to allow changes that will deprive them of their wealth! The politicians are deeply divided and there are over 30 political parties.
When he came to power, the new socialist Prime Minister, Youssoufi, undertook to straighten out the economy, decentralise administrative bodies, clean up public life, fight corruption, reform justice, combat poverty, develop low-income housing for the very poor, introduce a national pact for employment and, of course, find a solution to the dispute over the Sahara. Not much has been achieved. The figures for illiteracy, poverty and healthcare have scarcely changed. Many reforms are incomplete, though some of them, such as electoral reform, changes to legal procedure, labour law or the law on public freedom, are vital to the continuation of the transition process. And there is still high unemployment, as well as discrimination against women, corruption, feudal authoritarianism and sporadic human rights violations.
In the poorest neighbourhoods people are turning to the Islamists and not the socialists. The Islamist Justice and Welfare association founded by Sheikh Yassin visits the sick, helps them to buy medicine, contributes to funeral expenses, organises evening classes for the schoolchildren and supports single women, widows and divorcees.
What do the Islamists stand for in Morocco? How many are there? A big crowd - almost 100,000 - turned out in Casablanca for a demonstration against government plans to change women's status. The Islamists are very well established in the towns and suburbs and, increasingly, in the country as well. They are close to the people, helping the poor, sick and students, and they have networks all over the poorest neighbourhoods. They are active in welfare, whereas the left, even the far-left, no longer bother.
The left "has lost contact with the people." A quote from Le Monde Diplomatique: "Latifa, aged 45, teaches maths in a secondary school in the suburbs of Casablanca. She says "The middle classes account for barely 5% of the population, compared with more than 35% in Tunisia. Morocco's dominated by a system of networks, nepotism, clans, interconnected families who would rather give a job to an unsuitable, incompetent relation rather than a highly qualified young person from a poor background."
In May 2003, there were bomb attacks in Casablanca. Over 30 people died. Islamic militants were blamed. The government was then able to have a clampdown and 'hundreds' were arrested.
Enough of politics.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
PART 4 -
SEX
Moroccan cities are full of female prostitutes. But they are generally for the Moroccans (soldiers and those not yet married) and not for the tourists.
AIDS is very widespread.
My male guide, Hamid, walked ahead of me with his male friend. Hamid spent most of the time gently rubbing his friends back or holding his friend's hand. According to the experts, Moroccans like spending time with a single friend of the same sex. Same sex friendships are very important for Moroccans all through their lives. There are few limits to intimacy in same sex friendships. Moroccans 'usually marry out of a sense of duty.'
According to 'Culture Shock- Moroc co' by Orin Hargraves (Kuperard), "Homosexual relations among boys and young men are common." "Pederasty is exceedingly prevalent" wrote Edward Westermack in "Ritual and Belief in Morocco." In Morocco, homosexual sex by tourists is heavily punished; and sex with minors is very heavily punished with long jail sentences. In any case, tourists are not loved by the average Moroccan who sees the tourist as an alien
The hotel, the Gazelle D'or, at around £600 a night, is rather special. Visitors have allegedly included Michael Portillo, Jacques Chirac, Fergie, Rory Bremner, Mick Jagger, hosts of pop stars, statesmen, politicians, personalities, and 'the world's wealthiest closet Queens.'
According to Scallywag magazine, "As far as Westminster is concerned, the Gazelle D'or was first "discovered" by the notorious gay MP Sir Charles "Charley" Irving who died from aids in 1993. Irving, who chaired the Commons catering Committee, was famous for his private parties in the Pugin room in Westminster where he outrageously flirted with the male members of staff. Many of the 100-plus gay Tory MP's who inhabit "The Palace", often furtively, were fellow guests........ The REAL attraction of the Gazelle D'or is not just the exclusivity, or the fabulous luxury. It is, quite simply, that they boast one of the most superlative men-only Turkish baths, Sauna and Massage Parlour in the world, manned by hand-picked and specially trained swarthy Berbers who are most willing to accommodate every whim of their customers. The whole concept of the place is designed to be a veritable paradise for gays."
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
PART 4 - MOROCCAN BOYS
Some thoughts- Some educated young Moroccans admire all things French and Western. But a large number of Moroccans reject all things Western and non-Islamic. The latter group can be very hostile to tourists.
Sorcery plays a big part in Moroccan lives. There seems to be as much belief in 'magic' as in Islam. The kid who thinks you are a foreign 'devil' may be frightened of the evil eye. The shoeshine boys troubled me.
If I had my shoes shined and paid 30 pence, then six other boys would appear and they would follow me, requesting money. If I gave money to a kid whose photo I had taken as he sat on a donkey, then six kids, then twenty six kids would appear, all demanding money. One group of boys threw stones at me after I had refused to give them cash.
There is a law against troubling tourists; but it has not entirely solved the problem! Moroccans seldom seem to feel guilt or shame. They do not seem to feel guilty when they have cheated you. They may only feel shame when they have been sent to Coventry by their fellows, for example for breaking Islamic rules.
How do I explain the 'rough' conduct of moroccan boys? The Moroccan boy is expected by his mother to be spontaneous, demanding and egotistical. The boy is king. The mother is of lowly status. The father has either gone off with another woman or is out at the cafe or is somewhere else. "The father typically remains absent from the household through major portions of each day in his child's life," according to 'Images and Self Images' by Dwyer (Columbia University press). The father and the mother seldom love each other. Their marriage was one of convenience.
PART 5 - WHERE AND HOW TO GO
Morocco is for the holiday that is exciting and adventurous. It is a trip into the Third World. It is not necessarily going to be stress-free. Morocco needs tourists. It's economy is in trouble and tourism is one o f the few areas where expansion can take place.
But, not all Moroccans welcome tourists! So, it is probably best to avoid places like Casablanca, because of the violent crime, and Tangier, because of the hustlers and occasional muggings (I got mugged at knifepoint on a main street in Tangier in broad daylight).
Agadir is generally geared up for sunshine worshippers, but is not very Moroccan. You'd be better off in the Canary Islands.
Fes is fascinating, but expect a lot of hassle and a lot of litter and filth. An Imperial Cities Tour would be a good bet as you would be escorted most of the time.
Marrakech is probably your best bet, but go with an organised tour which will protect you from hassles. Choose your hotel carefully. Generally the higher the price, the better the hotel!
Ouarzazate would be a bit too hot for my liking, but you might like it. Don't expect to find much to do, other than organised trips.
Essaouira is a pleasant fishing village. But you might get bored after a week.
Taroudannt is a good base for organised excursions into the mountains, but the town itself has little to offer. There are lots of 'adventure' trips into the mountains. Remember it can be cold and primitive up in these hills full of scorpions. And there are few toilets.
Most Moroccans, especially those over 40 years of age, are reasonably kind and helpful. Don't be put off by the stone throwers.
Edinburgh
~
The baby died at birth. A changeling was substituted. That was the legend.
Many years later, in 1830, the bones of a baby were found. The bones, wrapped in richly embroidered silk, were in a small oak coffin. The coffin had been hidden in the wall of a tiny room. It was the room where Mary Queen of Scots had given birth to a son. Mary's 'son' was the future King James I of England.
Get off the train in Edinburgh and within a few steps you are in Edinburgh Castle where you can visit the room where James I 'was born'.
~~
Leaving the castle you may stroll along the Royal Mile to the house of John Knox. As you may recall, Knox was 59 when he married a girl aged 17.
It was Knox, the Roman Catholic priest, who protested against the corruption of some of his fellow priests. It was Knox who became a galley slave. It was Knox who became a friend of the cruel and misguided John Calvin. It was Knox who opposed Catholic Mary Queen of Scots and who led the Protestants in the Reformation.
~~
The Royal Mile has many medieval houses, closes and wynds which helped inspire R L Stevenson, the author of Jekyll and Hyde.
Philip Hensher, in the Spectator, reviewing 'Robert Louis Stevenson' by Claire Harman:
"Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde ... a thousand sinister touches ... Hyde smaller and younger than Jekyll... What is it really about? Homosexuality?
~~
At the far end of the Royal Mile lies the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Here you may visit the apartment where Mary Queen of Scot's Italian 'lover' was murdered. Riccio was Mary's secretary. While Mary was having dinner with the Italian, Mary's husband, Lord Darnley, arrived and Riccio was stabbed to death.
Have a look at Edinburgh University, on Chambers St, off South Bridge. This is the site of the hous e where Darnley, supposed father of James I of England, was murdered. The house got blown up and Darnley was found strangled. Mary's new friend, Bothwell, was acquitted of the crime! Enough of violence.
~~
Greyfriar's Kirk, Greyfriars place, has the National Covenant (some Scots didn't want bishops and signed this document) which led to the Killing Times.
Excorcism has apparently failed to remove the ghosts of some of the Covenanters who were imprisoned and died here. There have been a number of recent reports of strange happenings.
In Greyfriars churchyard you can see the grave that was watched over by the Skye terrier, Greyfriars Bobby. The dog supposedly stood by the grave of his master for 14 years. There is a statue to Bobby at the corner of George IV Bridge and Candlemaker Row.
Edinburgh, one of the world's most attractive cities, is the capital of the independent republic of Scotland.
Aelred of Rievaulx
~~~

Saint Aelred 1110-1167

http://www.integrityva.org/gay_saints.htm

"As novice-master, responsible for the training of impressionable young men, he found it necessary to build a concealed tank in which he could immerse himself in icy waters to bridle his physical passions."

Same-Sex Unions in Premodern Europe, by John Boswell:

Boswell's argument is that for a period of over a thousand years (roughly between A.D. 500 and 1500), the Catholic and Orthodox churches of Europe sanctioned a ceremony that permitted the life-long union of same-sex couples.

Saint Aelred of Rievaulx(1110 - 1167)

Aelred was born in Northumberland and was a friend of King David of Scotland and also an adviser to Henry II of England. Aelred wrote about friendships between males.

John Boswell wrote: "There can be little question that Aelred was gay and that his erotic attraction to men was a dominant force in his life." (Boswell, John, Christianity, Social Tolerance, and Homosexuality, p. 222).

In 1135, at the age of twenty-six, Aelred entered the Cistercian abbey of Rievaulx. Ten years later he became abbot, which he remained until his death in 1167.

Aelred related that he fell in love with boys during his school days.

After the death of one monk whom he loved, Aelred wrote:

"The only one who would not be astonished to see Aelred living without Simon would be someone who did not know how pleasant it was for us to spend our life on earth together; how great a joy it would have been for us to journey to heaven in each other's company .... Weep, then, not because Simon has been taken up to heaven, but because Aelred has been left on earth, alone."

Aelred also wrote:

"It is no small consolation in this life to have someone you can unite with you in an intimate affection and the embrace of a holy love, someone in whom your spirit can rest, to whom you can pour out your soul, to whose pleasant exchanges, as to soothing songs, you can fly in sorrow... with whose spiritual kisses, as with remedial salves, you may draw out all the weariness of your restless anxieties. A man who can shed tears with you in your worries, be happy with you when things go well, search out with you the answers to your problems, whom with the ties of charity you can lead into the depths of your heart; ... where the sweetness of the Spirit flows between you, where you so join yourself and cleave to him that soul mingles with soul and two become one."

Paul Halsall: The Experience of Homosexuality in the Middle Ages

"There are numerous references to homosexual activity in literature in twelfth-century Christian France... The poetry of the homosexual bishops Baudri of Bourgueil (1046-1130) and his friend Marbod of Rennes (1035-1123) reflects the situation of Jewish Spain with an emphasis on pederasty and some awareness by the poets of each other's work... Ivo of Chartres, at the same period and in the same region, discusses sodomy and fellatio distinctly from pederasty, and Peter Damian, who wrote at the same period although in a different place, mentions mutual masturbation, interfemoral sex... For the poets however, pederasty, and by implication an active/passive distinction, was the norm...

"Monastic writing on love and friendship in the twelfth century represents some of the earliest evidence we have of the views of homoerotically inclined men. Unlike Baudri of Bourgueil's musings over pretty boys, writers such as Anselm and Aelred of Rievaulx wrote to other monks. The objects of their affection were younger men but they envisioned lifelong and exclusive relationships, such as the affair Anselm had with the young monk Osbern...

"The Florentines established heterosexual brothels in 1415 with the intent of luring young men from sodomy...
